Bhutan Travel Inspirations

I have always been fascinated with Bhutan, so when the opportunity came to visit, I was filled with excitement. I visited Bhutan in early 2014 and it was such a beautiful experience. Our guide Sonam was hospitable and made our trip so much fun! He even introduced us to his friend who is a DJ at a local radio station and got us to speak about our home countries on air.

The most memorable experience is when he took us to visit a local family who built their own hot spring bath at the back of their house and filled it with hot stones from the mountains. We were then treated to a delicious meal after. The Bhutanese people we met along the way were all so friendly and so kind. I would no doubts return again when travel resumes.
