Here's an opportunity for you to share your Bhutan experiences with the world.

I vividly remember my first trip to Bumthang where we happened to stumble upon an old traditional house. The lady was outside of her home, and she invited us into her house, offered us snacks and made butter tea for us. I knew that her kindness was the epitome of the Bhutanese's hospitality. It was a heartwarming experience where I got to see the interior of traditional Bhutanese houses with Bukhari — traditional wood-burning stove — for the first time. While having conversations, we found out that the lady's son was actually a tenant in my guide's home in Paro. That was how I discovered that it's a small world in Bhutan. There was another incident in Bhutan that left an impression on me. One of the days, while I was on the road, my driver suddenly stopped his car abruptly. He went out in haste, and a group of locals were crowding a particular spot. Later, I realised that the locals were tending to an injured dog. I was impressed that so many people came forward to assist the poor canine in their own ways; people were holding water bottles, calling up the vet, etc instead of being passive bystanders. It's heartening to witness the compassion of Bhutanese that extends beyond human beings to all sentient beings.
